Created For You, The Local and The Visitor!

PoconoPond.com was developed for locals and visitors alike to have a place in which they can get information supplied by us and submit their own information on the area of northeast Pennsylvania, known as “The Poconos.”

We want all local residents and visitors to know that the northeast Pennsylvania region of the Poconos has much more to offer than just a casino and forest. There is so much more to our area that is hidden away and undiscovered by the general public who may have an interest in those places and things off the beaten path.

This is a huge undertaking, as we have incorporated 10 counties into this website. These are the counties of Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming.

What makes us different?

Simply put, we are not a Chamber of Commerce, or an entity of one community promoting our own agenda. We are not an “official” tourism website with the bells and whistles of packaged tours. We aren’t “fancy,” but over time we expect to outrank those websites that concentrate on only their local areas for promotion.

Anyone can submit an article about their experiences in the area. Any business can be added in our business directory. Any resident can submit a point of interest in the area, or an entire article about their community. Any performer can submit notification of their next scheduled engagement. Any community or organization can submit notification of an upcoming public event, or even that they exist. If you don’t see your town, or category listed, tell us at the beigging of your article and we will add it before we post your submission.

It is all FREE (with the exception of banner ads that display on our website, or links attached to listings, wanted by businesses).

We provide interactive maps and a picture to accompany the submissions in most areas.

The point is that the vast majority of information provided on this website will come from you.

This is a “word of mouth” website. While we may spend some money in advertising and promoting it, most recognition will come from you, who tell others of our presence and through search returns done on the Internet.
